Your data, clearly.
This policy describes the current Nex private beta. There are no advertising profiles or advertising analytics in this release. AI calling necessarily involves processing call data with the providers listed below.
What Nex stores
- Your Firebase/Google account identifier, display name, access status, chosen assistant voice, accepted terms version and minute balance.
- Phone numbers you verify, call recipient numbers, task descriptions, call status, duration, transcript, result and optional audio recording.
- Minute credit and debit entries, device push tokens and notification language, and account deletion requests.
- Operational records needed to authenticate requests, investigate errors and enforce account limits. Administrators can access service records when needed to operate or support Nex.
How the call works
Google Firebase provides sign-in and optional push delivery. Telnyx provides telephony and optional recording. OpenAI receives call audio and task context to generate speech, transcribe the recipient and summarize the conversation. Calls run on the server so they can continue when the app is closed. Provider processing and retention are also governed by their own policies; Nex does not promise that all provider logs disappear when a local conversation is deleted.
Recording and notifications
You decide whether audio recording is enabled before each call. The assistant announces recording when enabled. Recordings are stored privately on the Nex server and require an authenticated owning account to play. Push notifications are optional and require device permission; they announce that a call has finished without including the private transcript in the notification.
Retention and individual deletion
Completed conversations, transcripts and recordings are automatically removed from the Nex service after 30 days. You can remove them sooner from the conversation screen. Deleting audio alone keeps the text and result. Nex queues deletion of provider recordings and retries failed cleanup; removal from a provider may take additional time. Service database backups expire after 30 days and are not used for routine access.
Account deletion requests
Open Profile → Your data → Request account deletion, or use the authenticated account page. The request is placed in the administrator queue. New calls and top-ups pause, and you may cancel the request before it is processed. Processing removes the Firebase sign-in account, verified numbers, conversations, transcripts, recordings, device tokens and user balance history from the active Nex database. Active calls must finish or be stopped before processing.
A pseudonymous one-way registration hash may remain to prevent repeated claims of welcome minutes. Minimal administrative records can remain to record that a deletion request was processed. Provider logs may be retained under the provider’s own terms.
Choices
You can disconnect Google in Profile, disable notifications in Android settings, choose not to record, and delete your data. Disconnecting Google signs you out; it does not itself request deletion. To manage deletion without the Android app, sign in on the account page.
